Should I use Track Slicks which have usualy a stiff sidewall or should I use DRAG Radials for DRAGracing.
DRAG SLicks are not available til Sept. in my dimensions.
I want someting about 225/50/15

Why not go all out with the full-blown slicks!!! Just my .02 cents.

I've heard that street tires are better than autocross tires (which are super sticky, but also super stiff) for dragging.
I would assume road race tires would be even worse.
Drag Slicks are a completely different kind of tire. Super grippy and soft sidewalls.
Can you get Falken Azeni's in Austria?

Ahem,
From my experience nothing can come close to even a crappy set of "true" drag racing slicks.
I've been running a set of 14x20x8 Mickey Thompson slicks that had previously been used(I got 2 slicks and 2 rims for 100 bucks, cant complain on that one). They were in rough shape, but HOLY CRAP did they work wonders. I can hook up like mad compared to street tires and I run consistent 1.9's-2.0's on these worn out slicks, even while driving like a retarded hampster.
Don't waste your time with stupid drag radials, they aren't worth it. Why would you want a tire that sucks on the street and works "Ok" at the track? And they only last about 10k miles if you keep them on the car, and why would you spend more for a set of drag radials than true slicks and only run them at the track??
Road Racing slicks are terrible for drag racing, the stiff sidewalls kill you and they don't hook up that well at all believe it or not(because of sidewall, etc..)
You have put all that money into your monster, don't be cheap, get a set of drag slicks and destroy your competition!!
P.S. I would recommend a set of 14inch slicks instead of 15. I would say 13", but a 13" rim wont fit over your front brakes in the Type R.

The smalest rim I get under the brakes are 15inch.
To bad there is only 22/8/15 Drag Slick available. It has to less diameter IMO. I have to hift in 5th gear I guess. There is this 26/9/15, but it will rub the hell out of my fender. The new Hoosier 24/8/15 would be perfect, but only available in end of summer.
So there comes the new BFG Gforce 225/50/15 DRAG Radial into mind, where a Supra hit a 9 seconds time at the 1/4 mile track.

I wouldnt rule out Road Racing slicks! I have come to believe that the Yokohama A032R's are the best tires in the entire world! Ive driven to 2 autox's so far and managed 2 3rd place finishes.....thats not CLASS, thats OVERALL out of like 70!
Then, when i goto drag strips, these tires pull 2.08's to 2.12's all night long, no burnouts, just pull up and run, even at 35lbs psi.
I paid 130per tire for a 205/50/15, and these things are just killer tires. I have some Kumho V700's in the same size on other rims, and i honestly think the A032's stick just the same.
The wear on the A032R's are superb! Im not sure on mileage i have on them, but i know i have 180miles of OPEN ROAD TRACK on them, about 400 miles daily driving, and I KNOW i have 40 dragstrip passes on them, plus those 2 auotx's.
Can you tell i love them?! This is the worlds most perfect tire.

No Slicks are the reasons to snap axles. When the street tires spin, the power can not be transferd to the ground, so the axles don't have to pull the car forwards. With slicks the axles have much more work and sometimes they snap.
